Update: 4 arrested after foot chase in Westerville
WESTERVILLE – A Columbus police helicopter helped Westerville police take several people into custody Sunday afternoon.
The incident happened around 1 p.m in the southern portion of Westerville, between Schrock Rd., Cherrington Rd., Otterbein Ave. and State St. Initial reports indicated several people were taken into custody along Cherry Ravine Ct., near Cherrington Rd.
The CPD helicopter was circling the area for about 15 minutes. Police from Otterbein University were also seen patrolling the area.
The reason for the arrests was not immediately clear. After the arrests, police were guarding a car parked in the Walmart parking lot.
