WESTERVILLE – Vertiv, a worldwide supplier of data center equipment, is moving its headquarters to Westerville, from Columbus.
The company announced that its new headquarters will be in a 72,000+ square-foot building at 505 N. Cleveland Ave., just north of County Line Rd. That’s near other offices the company already has at 610 Executive Campus Drive and 530 Westar Blvd. Vertiv says it will renovate the space before moving around 300 employees in the fall of 2022.

The company’s current headquarters is at 1050 Dearborn Drive in Columbus.
“This move will allow us to better align our teams to streamline workflow and improve communication and collaboration across the organization,” said Rob Johnson, Vertiv CEO. “Our company has been proud to call Central Ohio home for more than 70 years, and it’s fitting that Central Ohio has become one of the hottest data center and technology hubs in the country. This is where we want to be, and we are excited to expand our Westerville campus and centralize our corporate operations.”
In addition to office space, the company says the building will feature a customer demonstration area, as well as gathering spaces and social hubs to enable collaboration.
“This is a really special moment for Westerville and Vertiv,” said Westerville Assistant City Manager Jason Bechtold. “We have had a long-standing relationship with the company, working together at key points in their growth strategy and providing affordable power, utility services and partnerships. Having their corporate headquarters join us is a big deal. Most importantly, these jobs remain in Central Ohio and the talent builds from here.”
Vertiv will receive $3.6 million in incentives from the state of Ohio and city of Westerville. As part of those agreements, Vertiv promises to add 100 jobs with $8 million in payroll to its Central Ohio operations by the end of 2025.
